• I can't believe that no one has yet posted a comment about this incredible place! My daughter chose it as her wedding reception venue in 2007. Just like Mary Poppins, it was 'practically perfect in every way'. The house is stunning, we felt as if we were guests at a beautiful private house party. The food was amazing - home cooked, wholesome, beautifully presented and delicious. We had free reign in lots of the beautiful rooms and, due to the unseasonal rain in August, fabulous open fires were lit to snuggle up to. The owners were so friendly yet totally discreet and the effort they had gone to to make our daughter's wedding special cannot be over emphasised. My daughter and her new husband stayed over their wedding night and were treated to an amazing breakfast the next morning. I only wish my younger daughter lived near enough to Abbott's Oak to choose this place should she ever decide to marry. We totally loved it and simply can't imagine why you wouldn't love it too.
