• We were very disappointed with this branch. The meal started very well. Then a waitress explained that sea bass had been cooked instead of salmon for one of the main courses. Thinking it was the same dish with a different dish we accepted this mistake. However the dish arrived and it was a totally different dish- not a salad with fish but a hot meal with vegetables and potatoes. Then a large sharp item was found in the dish that was identified by staff as either packaging plastic or a fish bone. Also different types of odd pasta pieces were found in a past dish. Care and attention to detail were not present. It was the first bad experience at Bella Italia. Needless to say we will never go back to the branch at Birstall and have been put off the whole chain.
