• Having visited the Blacksmiths on a number of occasions, I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal! The food is always good, the service is always good and the beer is always good. You are always made to feel welcome by all of the staff. I would definatley recomend this country pub!!

• Yesterday we too had problems with dogs. Took our elderly deaf and partially blind dog into the rear garden after being told that we could. He sat quietly by us on his lead while we ate our meal. The service was good, even bringing a bowl of water for him. We could see the pub's two dogs in their pen and assumed that was where they would stay. Our relaxing visit was interrupted at 3pm (coincidentally closing time?!) when the dogs were released and made straight for ours. This was rather upsetting as none of us saw them coming and one of them bared his teeth and barked at ours. We made a swift exit at this point. What a disappointing end to a pleasant visit!

• Recently had a meal at the blacky food was beautiful and plenty of it service was great and enjoyed the ambience the only negative point I would have is that there dogs were in the dinning room and round our feet while we wer eating I have no objections of dogs in a pub but not at my feet while I'm eating xx sorry guys but other than that I had a great meal
