  • 5 star reviewNew ownership in the last year. Complete make over, fantastic food and value for money. We have been a number of times with family and friends over the past three months and are going again this evening. Never experinced bad behaviour from locals, maybe different clientel now. Highly recommended, particularly for Sunday Lunch.

  • 3 star reviewwe have a caravan in area and from march to nov spend many an evening with caravan friends enjoying a meal, the meals are lovely my fav being the hunters chicken, well worth the money which is pretty much the norm in pembroke area, staff are friendly even down to caring for our dog, they are happy to push tables together to accomodate us when we have a large party with us, they even gave grandson some action man toys to play with. We have only once in about 3 yrs come across noisy swearing locals but always in there before 6 so maybe miss them, either way this would certainly not put us off returning again and again and when caravan season starts in march will be there on the first saturday with friends.

  • 1 star reviewJust had a meal here tonight 9/8/12, locals consistently using bad language in front of dining guests, starter ok but bread warmed up to disguise staleness, main cod was all batter and didn't taste like cod and chips cold, gamon tough as the locals and bar staff that shud be on Prozac, cost £28 and was worth max 10 don't go have a cheese sandwich instead you'll enjoy it more

  • 4 star reviewOur family have eaten at The Boars Head on several occasions and each time the food and service cannot be faulted. The price and quality of the food is excellent, the pub itself is a lovely cosy place to eat and we've never had a problem with the staff. We have relatives who visit and stay nearby each year, who normally vary where they eat while on holiday. Since discovering The Boars Head they keep returning. You can't get a better recommendation than that! :)

  • 1 star review Six of us have just had the WORST meal ever at this establishment When I complained to the bar person I was verbally abused by a "local" who wanted to take me out onto the car park to "sort it out" The "Manager" refused to concede that we had a problem Our advice is to avoid this place like the plague Thank goodness that we decided NOT to book here for Christmas lunch a few weeks ago
