"Kate and Jeff took over this beautiful pub and renovated its restaurant to a very high standard. It has been awarded a taste of the west silver after just seven months trading. All our food is Local produce, which is cooked from fresh, and served at reasonable prices. We have real log fires, real ales and a real commitment to excellent service."

• More of a 'house' than a 'public house'. What is the point of having their opening hours on this site when they aren't correct? I visited this pub twice in the same bank holiday weekend, the first time they were having some sort of ticket holders only theme night which it would appear was not made common knowledge. The second time they were in fact shut even though they advertised on the door that they were open bank holiday weekend!!! My review...Don't bother!!! Would have given 0 stars if it was an option

• We popped on the off chance when in the area and had dinner.It was a great meal,food delicious,16 other diners appeared to agree.Everyone complimentary.New owners warm and welcoming,nothing too much trouble.
