• bunch of crooks, dont buy from them. Was sold a top spec car, wasn't top spec at all, it didn't have half of the things listed. Also, the windscreen was chipped, despite a MOT the day before, by their own garage. Took it to an independent garage and told it should never have passed an MOT. Asked for a refund and the nice, nice approach soon dropped to a not to nice approach. Despite about to start radiotherapy for cancer treatment I was pretty much told to stuff it...not very pleasant people at all. Real delboys...stay clear

• Set of crooks! Don't buy from them! Paid a deposit over the phone for a car so he could mot it. Said deposit would be refunded if I didn't take the car. Went through to try it and it was a wreck, declined the car but they refused to return my deposit. I've heard they do this regularly, set of scumbags! Avoid at all costs!

• DON'T BUY FROM THIS GARAGE. I paid over £14000 for a car and then had to pay over £1000 to correct previous bodged repairs to three doors. Before I purchased the vehicle, they sent me a condition report saying "bodywork was excellent and no bumps, scratches or other body damage". They disclaimed any knowledge of the damage and refused to contribute to the repair. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

• Bought a Ford Fiesta from this garage as they were recommended to me by a work colleague. I was delighted with the car and it's price. When I collected the car it was in pristine condition. After 3 weeks the engine management light came on. I took it to their service centre who were more than helpful and fitted the new oxygen sensor which cured the fault and I was back on the road again within the hour. Highly recommend this garage.

• Bought a car off Dunwell and had to spend over a grand in repairs after 3 months of owning it. They just told me my problem yet I did less than 1500 miles in it from picking it up. Never going to buy another car from here again.

• Never sure of buying a second hand car (from anywhere) but as they are local I gave them a try. My management light come on car and took straight back to garage in tranent and the manager was more than helpful to get my management light fixed as was still in my months warranty. New egr valve fitted same day and went away a happy customer. Dont know what people are fussing about.

• read the reviews on here and was skeptical on doing a deal with the company but i went ahead as it was brilliant example of car. Don't know why i questioned it as the service i received was brilliant and the garage couldnt have done any more to help

• Seen a Swift I liked the look of at Dunwell via there website, however looking at there reviews on here,i find it a little suspicious that after 3 bad reviews 2 great ones come on the same day only 8 mins apart. Makes me wonder if it's worth going to look now.

• I paid deposit for a car. He will provide 3months warranty he said. I paid deposit without even see the car physically. I asked him to provide v5 certificate number so that I could check details online but he said he don't have v5 at the moment but will provide latter. I am very confused now . I just want to have a genuine deal. Can anyone give me advice on this. Should I buy car from dumwell motors. I am rating as per my current experience.

• Bought a car from Dunwell Motors. Big mistake, been in the garage after developing major fault. Then discovered it needed over 2 grand spent to put it right. STAY CLEAR, I WILL NEVER GO BACK

• Bought a car from this company 2 months ago for 2 grand and have had nothing but trouble with it. The cars been in the garage 3 times for repairs, cam shaft sensor failure, crank shaft sensor failure to name just 2, the engine light keeps coming on and i never even got a warranty with it, i do not recommend this dealer !!!
