  • 3 star reviewPortions have shrunk by a third recently leaving me hungry! Fish chips peas and curry is not cheap, it used to fill me up, but now looking elsewhere as I'm starving. A bad move from them, a move a lot of chippies are following after their wholesalers advise was quoted in the national press!

  • 1 star reviewChips were ok but the fish was truly awful. Batter was thick and stodgy and the fish was not good- tasted as if it had been dipped in ammonia to refresh. Avoid !!!!!

  • 1 star reviewAbout time too. This chippy was open every Sunday for about 8 years that I know of and after the new owner took over she closed it on Sunday's, much to the consternation of many people, ramblers, hikers, day-trippers etc. She was a fool to close on Sunday's it must have lost her a fortune.

  • 5 star reviewAt long last, closing on Sunday altered our very regular visits to Whaley. So glad to see it opening on Sundays again.I am sure it will be a popular haunt for sunday visitors once more.
