• Had a lovely coffee and puece of lemon drizzle cake. Beautifully refurbished and hope to visit again soon. Looking forward to tasting their food soon.

• A wonderfully warm and friendly public house that not only offered a great selection of ales and lagers but also a smiley face. Newly refurbished and worth a visit!

• CALLED INTO THE GREEN MAN, TO SEE WHAT CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE SINCE MY VISIT IN JUNE.I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THE TRANSFORMATION IS INCREDIBLE.THE NEW OWNERS SHOULD BE PROUD OF WHAT THEY HAVE ACHIEVED,IT WAS VERY BUSY AND THE NEW CAFE SHOULD GO DOWN WELL WITH THE WALKERS FROM HATFIELD FOREST.SPOKE TO THE MANAGER [I THINK HE WAS CALLED MARTIN]WHO TOLD ME OF THE PLANS THEY HAD FOR THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE BEDROOMS PLANED FOR THE FUTURE.IT . AN EXCELLENT PUB WHICH I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

• STOPPED FOR A DRINK AT THE GREEN MAN.EVERYONE VERY PLEASANT.TOLD BY ONE OF THE LOCALS THAT NEW OWNERS WERE DUE TO TAKE OVER, WHO PROMISE TO MAKE IT A WALKERS FRIENDLY PUB. AS A WALKER I WILL RETURN TO SEE THE IMPROVEMENTS AND HAVE A BEER.

• I called in for a snack. There was a spcial offer for ?2 per pint. It was ok.The toasted sandwich cost ?4.50 for 2 thin slices of bread
