• most pubs in Westcliff or Southend are generally frequented by travellers who are not friendly at all and will go out of there way to cause trouble, a lot of local travellers run the food outlets within the pubs. I would suggest that anyone coming to this area goes to Leigh-on Sea for a drink or something to eat, a far friendlier place to take the family or friends.

• The owner employs a French gypsy in the kitchen. And the southend gypsies have made the place their own, ENJOY!!

• Shame about this pub, the owners are blissfully unaware that the local gypsies are taking it over and discreetly putting anyone off who isn't a gypsy from drinking there. It's the gypsy way. It's the kiss of death for any pub once you allow these people through the door.
