We are weekend "blow-ins" and visited last Friday. True, not a selection of beers, it is a bit down at the heel and so on(previous review) but this is essentially a local pub - just relax and enjoy it for what it is. The landlord and his wife are great people and the food is of generous proportions and good. The customers are an interesting eclectic mix too! We'll be back!Lovely country pub, popped in for some lunch and found they had a good selection of meals on their menu. The food we ordered arrived quickly, was freshly cooked and very tasty. The welcome from owners and staff was really warm and they couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our meal.The Horse and Cart reopened 31st July 2011 and Caron and Richard are back after selling pub 2 years ago.
