  • 1 star reviewWe went recently. The chips, although homemade, tasted disgusting - like they had been cooked in dirty fat and the portion of the steak pie was small. We will not be going back again.

  • 1 star reviewWent to celebrate my Dad's birthday, and at best, could be described as average. Staff were friendly and we were seated quickly. 3 of us ordered Surf n Turf, but the steak was shockingly bad... very thin, cheap & tasteless. I've had better steak in a big chain pub. Childrens meal was good, but again, curry was average. Desserts were a mixed bag, lovely strawberry cheesecake, a disgusting soggy lemon meringue, passable apple pie & a nice diam bar affair but with a measly portion. we will not be returning.

  • 5 star reviewafter reading previous comment we was wondering if we should return for a meal even though we had been many times and always had a good meal, but as we hadnt been for a few months the review nearly put us off and am i pleased it didnt ,because tonight we went for a meal and even though im disabled they found me a comfy chair ,we bth ordered a mixed grill and it was with us in 10mins piping hot and just to our liking mine med and my hubby's med well,i also like diane sauce and even though not on the menu they went out there way to make us some ,and if anyone goes home hungry there's something wrong ,the staff where very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed meeting the new manager's all together a PERFECT!!!! meal

  • 1 star reviewI have not been for a few months but went today and will not be returning again. In the past the food has been delicious but there seems to have been a change of managers and the meat was dry the potatoes were hard the veg the very watery and i had to send the coke back as it tasted cheap and watery. In the past when i have been the place has been packed but there were only 4 table occupied which says a lot. None of old staff were there and i felt the pub is no where near as warm and friendly as it used to be. I will not be returning which is a shame as we used to go every week last year and even went 2 years on the trot for christmas day dinner.
