• I ordered a takeaway from Jade Garden in January 2011 and felt compelled to write a review.Firstly their customer service is very sub-standard. I phoned through my order and was subjected to immediate hostility for politely attempting to order something which was not on the menu. On arrival I found the short brunette woman to be just as rude in person. I waited for an additional 25 minutes until the food finally came to the front desk. On return to my house I opened each of the containers and quickly decided to put the lids back on and take it back. I had ordered Egg fried rice, which was hard because it was either undercooked or stale; Chicken Chow Mein, which can only be described a sloppy mess that a child could have produced; Orange Duck, which consisted of a container full of duck fat, bone and skin plus one or two pieces of meat only resembling duck; Salt and Pepper Ribs, and the 'meat' was as hard than the bone; Sweet and Sour Crispy Chicken, and the chicken was not cooked; The prawn crackers however were average.I phoned ahead to warn Jade Garden I would be returning with the food and would be expecting a refund. On second arrival I was greeted with the same rude, unprofessional and unhelpful manner from the front desk worker as I had experienced previously. As the food was returned to the kitchen I caught a glimpse through the door of a very untidy and filthy cooking area which reassured me that I had made the right choice in not consuming the matter that they tried to pass of as food. I was given a refund but no apology for inconvenience.The quality of food at this establishment is appalling, and the business is not helped by the unintelligent, neglectful and unpleasant order taker.
