• Myself & Partner & Aunt ate there on a busy Friday lunch time. We had starters, 3 Main dishes & sweets. The food & service were excellent. Very friendly & welcoming staff. The food was delicious.

• What a fantastic experience. We have eaten here twice now in the last couple of weeks and have had the tastiest & well presented meals that we have experienced in a long time. The service has also been superb making us feel very welcome. Well done to the new management & staff

• We have just had a meal at the Kings Head to celebrate our wedding Anniversary. I ordered salmon which smelt rotten. I decided not to eat this after a couple of mouthfuls and pointed the problem out to the staff. One waiter agreed that he could smell the fish from where he was stood. The chef said it smelt like that because of the seasoning. I would like to know what seasoning they used so I can avoid this when cooking salmon at home. We were offered complimentary desserts and coffee which we declined apart from a decaff coffee (this could have amounted to about £15 if we had taken up the offer in full). The salmon was charged for and the person who took the money didnt ask if we enjoyed it or offer any sort of apology. I would like to point out that these are new landlords and nothing to do with those mentioned in the previous comment.

• Although I believe this pub has won awards for its food, I do wonder how they received them land lord/lady are something off a comedy sketch basil fawlty comes to mind, I found the chef produced more bad manners than good food and the waiting on staff very disorganised, the only person I found plesant was a young blonde girl called Lucy,..I will not be returning and will be spreading the word it was ok food with bad manners and bad service oh and a drunk land lady
