• Recommended by the lady at local B&B. The pub was lovely with a real homely feeling. We come from the other side of the country and couldn't have been made more welcome. Excellent food and ale, great value. Definitely worth a visit.

• We'd been recommended to this pub by a couple of people and called in for a drink on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It was absolutely lovely inside, a real olde worlde place full of character with beautifully carved wooden furniture and original stained glass windows. Our round of drinks were very reasonably priced. We plan to go back there very soon.

• Found this by chance while investigating old railway line in 2011. A pint and a meal for under a fiver in this real old village pub. Wonderful.
