  • 1 star reviewWe went here as a family on Mothers Day, and the day was totally ruined,by them 1) 2 starters not coming out then 2) 6 dishes came out wrong in total, beef instead of lamb, steak well done, greasy and rubbery asked for veg but got salad with that, then one of my daughters tried to eat her pizza but could not bite into it,so that was left. My mums steak went back, came back same again, with some bloody steak plonked on top. We wanted money back for that 1 meal, and the manager was so aggresive, said, you have had 3 meals now,she was holding the plate and he just snatched it out her hand and said don't pay for it. I must stress never visit this place. Took mum out to the Midland Railway in Syston and had a great meal!

  • 5 star reviewThis pub is a real gem. Lovely selection of Ales, brilliant and friendly staff, lovely beer garden, lovely variety of food. It's a dog friendly pub and has a 5 star food hygiene rating proudly displayed behind the bar. Have been visiting for years and have always had a lovely experience.

  • 1 star reviewWe have been to this pub a couple of times. We have found the food to be of poor quality. We have seen the chef smoking in the food store outside. The landlord has always been very ignorent and very dismissive. Whenever we have made a complaint his attitude has always been "well dont come back then!" The staff are very rude and unpleasent. I would not return to this pub again.
