  • 5 star reviewhad a fantastic meal..home made chips, gammon (which was 2 large pieces each with an egg on) side salad and peas all for £7! service brilliant, and the view on the terrace in the warm evening sunshine was amazing too..can't fault it at all

  • 3 star reviewCheap and cheerful, good value and service. However I personally would prefer quality over quantity when it comes to the meat, as you get a very large casserole dish of meat, that is quite dry and bland. Freshly carved better quality cuts of moist meat would be better, even if it means lesser quantity. Also veg fresh but unfortunately dry, no butter condiments offered and frozen cheap roast potatoes spoils its somewhat . However if your hungry and require a cheap Sunday dinner it's ok, with a great beer garden.

  • 3 star reviewAverage pub with a good bear garden.Sunday Dinner good value if your hungry unfortunately tho its a case if quantity over quality. Although veg fresh u fortunately the potatoes are of the frozen type. Huge serving of meat in a caserole dish which has been left stewing all day which results in very dry lumps of thick strawy chicken and thin slices of tasteless pork and beef. It would be better to reduce the portion size in favour of freshly cooked better quality meat and real roast potatoes. The meal also arrives with a complimentary dessert but it would perhaps be better to charge a pound more or not offer, as this was of very poor quality. Cold small portion of jar made apple crumble no custard but very tiny dollop of the cheapest ice team. Like I said good if your in a budget and hungry as very cheap for the quantity of dinner you get. But alas you get what you pay for in quality, just a few tweaks tho would make it slot better. Half the meat portion in favour of better quality juicy cuts, don't leave to stew all day and serve fresh potatoes not frozen and decent deserts, charge a little more if need be.
