  • 1 star reviewNicely decorated pub with a decent selection of beers. dont bother going to watch any of the bands there though as you will have to put up with a load of long haired rockers spilling there drinks everywhere, jumping around falling into everything and everyone and generally ruining your night while their friend who works behind the bar keeps giving them free drinks. would be nice if the management of the pub would do something about it so normal people could actually come in and enjoy live music. this is a regular occurence in this pub, me and the missus wont be going here again. avoid if you want to watch live music!

  • 1 star reviewOMG! Visited 23 February at 3:45 p.m. This has to be the worst carvery I have ever had. On ordering our drinks and meal, we were told that we would have to wait ten minutes for the carvery to be back on. No problem. We actually waited half an hour, but still no problem. On getting to the carvery, my husband wanted beef. I looked at it and said to him "are you sure you want that, It isn'nt cooked" It wasn't even rare it was raw. The lad cut off one slice and when he cut the next slice there was so much blood that my husband told him that he couldn't have that he would have the turkey. It was the smallest piece of turkey I have ever seen. I chose to have pork and turkey. There were no yorkshire puddings. The plates were cold. The roast potatoes were not even roasted. While I was still selecting my vegetable,a guy from the management came out to the lad serving and said this beef looks a bit rare. I think he meant RAW. He then took it away. The vegetables had no taste and the meal wasn't hot. I don't like really hot food but this wasn't even warm enough for me. We took the turkey that we couldn't eat back home in a serviette for the dog. It wasn't even good enough for her, mostly grissle. It went in the bin. Obviously we will not be eating here again. I have to give it one star for the rating because I cannot submit otherwise. I actually would give it at least minus one star.
