• Hi just like to say my self husband and four other family members had a meal on the 29th of January 2016 .It was for our ruby anniversary we would all like to say have lovely the meals were and his quick each course came out as well as being hot ,the young man that took our orders and looked after us for our meal was very pleasant and joined in with our banter .Thank you to the chef and all we had a lovely meal which was the start of our celebration weekend ,we hope to return again soon thank you .

• We were a party of 12 including a baby and had pre booked. On arrival we were told that they didn't half the menu we were expecting and were told "if we didn't like it we good go somewhere else" with attitude. The atmosphere was terrible. As this was a wake and we had 10 guests we decided to stay. They had not set out the tables properly and I was left on a table by myself with my 2 year old son. They made no effort to accommodate us. The food was terrible, the gammon I had was like cat food chunks. Their sticky toffee pudding which they tried charging us £10 each for!! was like a glorified xmas pudding with some god awful sauce slapped on top. No one could eat it. We challenged the bill with the owners and they become defensive and rude, even calling us Pyke's. We found out later on they had a party of 30 shortly before us and I think they just had enough. No excuse to treat respectable paying customers this way. Shame on them

• After having read about this pubs outstanding food, i was dissapointed to have ordered a fillet steak rare, and to receive it medium. When i mentioned this to the restaurant manager she returned to the kitchen only to return to me telling me rather abruptly, both her chefs say its rare, and it appears more medium as its a older aged steak. Surely that should be informed to the customer prior to ordering?? Poorly handled complaint, rude service and dissapointing food. Do not reccomend, and shall not return!
