• had the fish pie tonight advertised on the menu as cod and prawn fish pie in a white wine sauce. When served not a single prawn in sight but lots of carrot pieces, peas and onions. When mentioned to bar staff was told after she spoke to chef that lady in question if she had wanted prawns in her fish pie she should have requested them, does this not contravene the trades description act?????

• sat 20 april 2013 food gone really down hill steak pie - no steak three small pieces rest gravy apple crumble did not resemble anything like both sent back to chef no reason for awful food was gioven - no manager seems to run this pub any more so cannot complain to anyone in charge - will not be using this place to eat again we used to use it regulary, but will not do so in the future.

• This is a well established local pub and food house.Excellent choice of beers including occasional guest beers.The food is of a very good standard and reasonably priced.
