  • 1 star reviewI would not send my worst enemy here.I had to wait an hour before they brought the food and then had to wait to eat it while they went to get the cuterly the chips where undercooked and stone cold iv had better service from a Burger van so I won't be coming here again

  • 2 star reviewCame here for a birthday meal, ordered food at 12.35pm and had to wait 1hour & 10 mins. When we were waiting noticed that the food orders were being delivered to the wrong tables and people who ordered after us got their meals first. The food when we got it was very nice. There were only 2 staff working behind the bar, not enough for the amount of customers. Very disappointed with the long delays, have eaten here before on a Friday & Saturday evening when the place has been full and the sevice was much quicker!

  • 1 star reviewwhole tail scampi should have tails not just oil soaked bread crumb lumps. bread should sliced not baguette cut into four long slices. Wrapped butter should not be covered in tomato sauce. chips should be hot not tepid. POOR!

  • 5 star reviewDecided to call in last week and was very pleased that we did.Our meal was delicious although very filling!! The prices were extremely reasonable and the welcome that the daytime staff gave us was out of this world,we felt at "home". We were in that area again and decided to revisit The Phoenix, and yet again we came away satisfied, fully fed and happy customers, after being well looked after. I would recommend that if you are passing by through this area, drop in for a visit - i'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised by the experience. Thankyou to the staff :)

  • 4 star reviewHad a lovely lunch at the Phoenix today and being a monday pleasantly surprised at the amount of people that frequented the place, the staff were very welcoming, food very competitively priced and good selection of wines at reasonable prices. The tables were spread adequately so manouevering between each table was easy and as my mother was an invalid, the access within the building was very much appreciated. The welcome by all staff were deeply appreciated also. Service excellent. Can highly recommend. Was told the place had been refurbished and nicely done too. Well done and look forward to seeing the place again soon as its a good meeting point with the family

  • 1 star reviewVery disappointing. Ordered drinks but unfortunately out of the basics, even orange juice. Main course, fair. Desserts are minature portions. The next table to us even complaining about their order of a burnt burger. NOT RECOMMENDED.
