• We tried this pub in old Wrotham village this Saturday after hearing it was a dog friendly establishment. After a telephone call they confirmed they would welcome us and our dog and also had food available. They were very welcoming to us and we enjoyed some simply superb food at a really good price. To emphasise how good it was, we would both agree it is by far the BEST pub food we have ever had. We do eat out a fair bit, normally at fairly expensive restaurants, this food would stand against any of those, but at such a reasonable price. It is worth noting that we stopped at at least six pubs before finding this gem, all of which would not welcome dogs, our view is that if our dog is not welcome, neither are we!! I will finish by stating, we wish Drew and his wife the very best, excellent all round, and Shepard Neame have a great pair here, look after them and I am sure you will all grow together........Going back soon. • If you're looking for a pub with old fashioned values, great ales and wonderful homecooked pub food at a reasonable price this is it. No screaming children, no machines just good honest pub fayre and lovely people.
