• Fabulous, 'real' shop. I've been looking for a wicker shopping basket for over 12 months, this is where I found one. They were suspended from the ceiling and a lovely lady served me, nothing was too much trouble. I came away extremely pleased with my purchase, so pleased I found such a 'gem'. Worth visiting, I will definitely be going back, especially to find birthday and Christmas present.

• I think Salt's is one of the few old fashioned shops left in the UK. Their prices are very competitive and the range of cards are second to none. Maybe sometimes the owners have their off days but shopping in small independent shops is a joy and I have always had good service here.

• Terrible customer service! Rudest shop owner I've had the misfortune of meeting for a very long time. Browsing in shop with family at display of items they had arranged and she appeared with "I think we've got the idea now!" Needless to say we left without parting with any of our cash. More training needed in house, I think.
