• Very disappointing Easter Sunday lunch. Arrived 20 minutes before booked time to be told our table was double booked. Offered extremely. Large circular table inside entrance where we would have been isolated or 2 tables together in conservatory. We opted for the conservatory with 2 circular tables were put together, not ideal when there are 5 in the party. We ordered our starter and main course and was served in good time of each course. However, one table received a small dish of mixed vegetables and a dish of cauliflower cheese, the others where 3 sat were only served a small dish of mixed vegetables. When asked for the cauliflower cheese were told they had run out. Although some of our party like beef red we agreed it was undercooked, the pork was fine. The roast potatoes were cooked with goose fat and were crisp but obviously had been kept warm for a long period as they were very hard. The Yorkshire pudding was very bland and was not served with the pork dish. This was a family get together with one couple coming from Germany for the holidays. Not impressive and would not return
