• Obviously under entirely new ownership since the previous review. Our stay was delightful, stress free and our impression was positively different. Mike and Carol are excellent as is their staff. The room was clean and well maintained during our stay. We were on holiday from America attending a friend's wedding in the village. Our impression was one of top knotch service. Well run establishment, great food. Throughout our stay our room was well maintained. Michael,Carol and staff never seemed put out by any request, their hospitality unwavering. They hosted a fantastic after wedding party for our friends. We intend to stay at Seven again and would highly recommend.

• Of all the many years I have travelled to the IOW I have never had such misfortune in a place of accomodation. We arrived after a long drive to be told that our booking had been cancelled. Firstly it was us who supposedly had cancelled, then the previous owner, then the booking agent - absolute disaster! They then told us that there was a possibility that another couple had been double booked into our room but that they would wait and see if they turned up the following day before doing anything about it! We were then ushered into a room that was being renovated before being asked to go away for an hour or so whilst they could prepare it. There were no tea/coffee making facilities, the soap dispenser didn't work and we asked for water for the room and didn't get it until the following morning (minus any glasses to drink from!) After returning from our walk the following day, we were told by a member of staff that a couple had arrived who were also booked into our room, and that they were now getting irate as they had been waiting a long time. We had however been assured the previous day that there were no problems with us staying in that room for the duration of our trip. Cue hurried phonecalls to other accomodation providers on the IOW to find a room at last minute as we had to make room for the new couple. Manager more concerned about having to refresh the bedding rather than the fact they were kicking out customers. Little to no attempt to help us arrange alternative accomodation, and still expected the full tariff to paid for the night we stayed. Made promises they couldn't keep and attempted to shift the blame so many times we lost count - from someone who travels to the Island a lot, there are much much better places to stay than this.
