• They quoted £180 to weed my low maintenance garden and sweep some pine needles up, saying that once they had weeded they would spray so that I would be weed-free for six months. I’m rather infirm now, was getting desperate, and, what with the promise of six months of weed-free enjoyment, I proceeded. What a mistake that was. The “weeding”, which they did with a strimmer, was not fully done, I had to check their work and remind them to sweep up the pine needles. It rained the same day, negating the “benefit” of the spraying, so they at least agreed to re-spray, which they did a week later. They might as well not have bothered. All the strimmed weeds have re-grown. They now seem to deny the promise of six months of weed-free joy and say the weeds are my problem. If you have £180 or more to waste, then by all means employ them, if not, like me, you are on a tight budget, then I suggest you find a reputable firm who do not overcharge for a shoddy service.
