  • 1 star reviewWill post everywhere. Carvery disgusting. And did post on trip as well. Absolutely disgusting the way the chef couldn’t take criticism. Customer knows best. Shame aswel as got served by lovely lady at the bar very welcoming. Ruined by food and chef. 5 star for the bar staff. 1 star chef and food.. And kid friendly pubs should have waitresses in trousers not short skirts and bare legs my kids were there. Show respect not leg

  • 2 star reviewLove this pub. But the attitude of the young lad in there has let it down. Only that the lovely young lady apologised on his behalf will give it another chance

  • 1 star reviewI went with a few friends to the newly revamped Wellington, it looked very nice and clean as we walked in, and all looked well until we ordered the drinks, there was only half a bottle of Rose wine and just ONE bottle of white wine in the whole pub, we made a comment to the male who ''popped in'' and all he said was ''ITS BEING DELIVERED TOMORROW'' ... sorry but thats not good enough, couldnt he have gone and got some from the local shops that are 3/4 minutes walk from the pub?,that would have been really good customer service. Anyway!! we ordered the meal of steak, the steak was really delicious and cooked to perfection, and although it looked very nice presentation wise, we didnt like the wooden chopping board type of plate it was served on as in our opinion its very unhygienic. The salad consisted of a little lettuce and nothing else, one friend only got half of the miniature presentation pan of chips, we asked if we got tomato or mushrooms with it as it didnt stipulate these details on the menu, and was told we had tomato, which we didnt get, then we asked for Mayo and Mustard and there was only Mayo. We ended up jumping a taxi into town where we got a bottle of Hardy wine for £5.99 whereas the Wellington bottle cost us £10, the pub is lovely and could be a gold mine, but they need to get their act together before we go in again, which we will do just to see if it was just a one off.The Staff who served us were very nice though.
