Owner description of West Street Books

 

" We have recently moved from our shop on North Street in Horncastle (Good for Books) to the premises here in West Street. We have a large variety of second hand books for sale. Sections include Cookery, Art, Children's Books, Gardening, War, Folio Society, Collecting, Antiquarian Books, Literature etc. We are also going to sell pieces of Furniture, Bygones and Ephemera, but like everything this will evolve in time. The bricks and mortar shop is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11-3pm, but we also are an internet bookshop which is open all the time. If you wish to browse the stock in the shop out of hours please do not hesitate to ring for an appointment."

• Decent looking shop, quite well laid out, reasonable stock, but only open for twelve hours a week! Opening times like these make the town only worth visiting on three days in the week, no wonder small market towns are dying.
