• The Acorn is our local pub and although we are not regular drinkers there, we do visit for our evening meal sometimes. Each time I have found the food to be nice. We usually have the gammon, fish snd chips, beef and ale pie and the chicken skillet. I have noticed there are some bad reviews on other sites and thought it only fair to give a potential customer a balanced view. The service is ok although a bit slow. If you accept that it is a local pub with average priced form, then I would recommend you give it a try. They also do 2 meals for £10 in the week before 5pm I think. Its mot a place I would go for a special occassion but ideal to save you cooking.
