• Addison Arms, Glatton; (last night) Well I should have known when the menu was greasy and dirty the food was not going to be great. I had the Rump steak..well it was cooked OK but tasteless, the peas were hard and the cheapest available..no way were they birds eye...the onion rings were nothing special again cheap frozen rings (all 3 mini ones), the spoonful of mushrooms were edible but just the basic you would expect and OMG the chips were cheap frozen ones that were just about cooked but not good at all. We were not asked if we wanted any more drinks and had to go and fetch them ourselves........... no we are not lazy but it was waitress service and during our meal. Michael said his 3 bean (Vegetarian) chili was nice - when he asked for a roll they said would take 5 to 10 minutes so obviously part cooked ones not fresh the third meal was like they had served up a stew type meal (it was steak and stilton pie) heavy on the gravy with a pie topper plopped on top. Now it seem very popular in there but quite a small place so didn't take many to fill it up. The place was dated - and needed a good sugar soap wash all over.

• been eating here for a long time, food always of a high quality served by friendly staff and even friendlier landlord and landlady. would recommend to all.

• Very disappointed with the christmas meal.Wrong food given to allergy sufferor.Waitresses lovely,but found the landlady very rude to certain members of the party.Hardly any effort to make the table look christmasy.Oh well you learn by your mistakes!!
