• At AmoRoma, Rinaldo does everything, owner, chef and waiter. For a one person outfit the menu is extensive - and the food excellent. My visit in November 2011 was my third - every time I've been to Forres - I checked that AmoRoma was still there before deciding to go to Forres! Although generally classified as Italian, Rinaldo explains that it's Roman (modern not ancient) cuisine that he serves. The décor is rustic, and could put some people off, but it adds to the character of the place. The olives, served warm, with lemon juice (or vinegar if you prefer), start things off admirably, with delicious home baked bread. The starter of Roman Sausages is not too photogenic, but the taste out of this world. I ordered the Duck, but unfortunately Rinaldo had no duck, but made the dish with Quail instead - a bit fiddly, but again delightful. Though I didn't really think I should have a sweet, the other couple in the Restaurant were so complimentary about the Zabaglione that I let Rinaldo persuade me to indulge as well - a decision I do not regret!
