• Has anyone else tried to return faulty Le Chameau boots to Shepshed Garden Centre and met with the formidable Mrs Jo Henderson - who flatly refused to do anything about the problem. It seems news of the Sale of Goods Act is yet to filter through to Birstall.

• A few years ado, I ordered 3 very large pots to grow my veg in. They promised to deliver around 4pm; I got home at 1pm, to find them outside my front door. I was lucky; my neighbour spotted someone trying to pinch them, and chased them off"...

• Ordered goods online. Agreed to a non-signature delivery as Birstall refused to deliver outside normal weekday working hours. Goods were delivered and left without signature, as agreed but were damaged. Birstall subsequently refused to replace the faulty goods, claiming that they were not liable as I had agreed to a non-signature delivery. Utter nonsense. Very unhelpful customer service. Shop elsewhere.
