• Terrible service - had to complain as our white wine was warm; we were refused a refund, not offered a replacement and told "that's as cold as its gonna get" when our warm bottle was handed back to us. Any wine drinker will know that white wine tastes terrible warm, we don't usually complain but it was pretty awful to drink and we had paid almost £14 for it. We understood why it was warm when we saw it had been kept in the sink in a bit of ice (next to the RED wine - um, hello??). For some reason the owners decided to keep the glasses in the fridge, and the wine in the sink in ice. Obviously ice isn't enough to keep it cold. Wouldn't have minded so much, except when we took it back we were simply dismissed by the quite rude manager/owner. Will never return!

• It was so nice to walk in to a pub that was warm! The roaring fire in the wood burner was wonderful. It's a great place to relax and have a drink - with lovely leather sofas dotted about and a great bar with really comfy bar stools. Regulars and bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. Went there to see an acoustic duo 'Vine & Dandy'- an excellent way to finish off the week end. Will definately make the effort to return. Lovely pub.

• Great pub, visited Exeter to see my daughter who is studying there. Made very welcome here by landlord & landlady, as well as the locals. EEventine the band were fantastic . Will definitely go back to this pub next July when we return to Exeter for the Graduation event

• A warm friendly welcome greets you. Can be very busy on live band night. Top band in my book Eventine will be there 4th August.
