• As a guest at a private party on the evening of 14.11.12 I would congratulate Will Frankland and his team who were polite and well trained. The food my choice ( Fish & Chips )was just great,and for pudding I chose Sticky Toffee the best I have ever had. I now look forward to returning to the Blacksmiths Arms in the near future.

• Excellent. We were upstairs with the large party of 23 and everyone we spoke to said their meals were delicious. Bearing in mind we were in the private room upstairs the staff all worked very hard to make our evening pleasant. Will and Leah and their staff were friendly and polite and were very willing to please when we asked for anything. We had a lovely evening and will certainly go back in the future.

• Poor, we visited as part of a large (23) group with meals pre-ordered. It appeared the restaurant is more accustomed to small tables, 2or4 as the food was served 2 or 3 servings at a time resulting in a large time interval between the first and last being served. the fish and chips was adequate however my wifes chicken was undercooked and served swimming in a thin gravy into which a icecream scoop of mashed potato was dissolving, on pointing this out the responce was 'the staff are doing their best'the delay in service meant that my icecream desert had mostly melted by the time it reached the table

• Lovely deco and surroundings. Service excellent and garden area well thought out. Interesting menu and specials board and food excellent.
