• spend christmas day, no christmas atmosphere, not worth 37.99 could of made more effort with table setting to make it like christmas day by having table cloths, meal just the same as festive fayre which was only 11.99 staff not very festive,

• ( Bridge Builder Telford) I spent last Christmas day 2010 at this place and it was not great. This year 2011 I expected after it,s refurbishment by Fayre & square to be much better, was i wrong. The staff were less than accommodating. People arrived for food around midday, half the tables were not filled to capacity and most were leaving by 3pm. Staff could not wait to clear the tables, leaving you with the feeling they wanted you in and gone asap. A depressing atmosphere with no Christmas music playing, lighting was dull or not working at all. I can at least say before the Bridge Builder was refurbished the staff last year made more effort with making it festive and welcoming, the decorations gave it a better Christmas day feel and the seating areas were much more private when eating food and our meals were very good. My family’s Christmas day meal this year in my opinion is we would have eaten better at Morrison’s supermarket. To finish off we will not be going back next year that’s for sure. Before they do these refurbs on pubs/ bars etc, my suggestion would be to put out a survey in the area for the customer to comment how they would like a place to be when taking their family out for a meal.

• SPENT CHRISTMAS DAY 2011 AT THE NEWLY REFURBISHED BRIDGE BUILDER IN TELFORD. THE ATMOSPHERE WAS POOR JUST LIKE CHRISTMAS DAY 2010. EXPECTED AFTER THE REFURBISHMENT FOR IT TO BE BETTER, THERE WAS NO FEELING OF FESTIVE SPIRIT IN THE PLACE NEITHER ANY CHRISTMAS MUSIC TO BE HEARD. STAFF I FOUND,LESS THAN ACCOMMODATING. THEY CAME ACROSS LIKE THEY JUST WANTED PEOPLE GONE SO THEY COULD CLOSE UP ASAP. DECOR WAS AVERAGE, LIGHTING WAS VERY DULL AND THE WHOLE FEELING OF THE PLACE SLIGHTLY DEPRESSING. PEOPLE HAD STARTED TO ARRIVE FOR MEALS AROUND MIDDAY AND MOST HAD DEPARTED BEFORE 3 PM. MYSELF AND MY FAMILY LEFT AROUND THE SAME TIME. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING FOR A CHRISTMAS MEAL NEXT YEAR.
