• We booked 2 cabs with Carlton Cars which never arrived despite the 'five minute wait' and calling them 4 times to check the status of our cab. 45 minutes later a cab arrived driven by a gentleman who was claiming that the price of the journey was double what we had been quoted and that he wanted the money upfront. I explained this was not a concept I felt comfortable with, showed him the money and said I would put it on the side ready to give to him when we arrived at our destination. He then got very aggressive,starting shouting at us in a foreign language and forced us out of the car. After calling Carlton for the 5th time that night to explain what had happened she said she was unable to book us anything further. If you think leaving two young girls in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere surrounded by drunk males is acceptable then Carlton Cars is the one for you!

• Absolutely terrible company! Rude telephonist, rude cab drivers that don't have a clue where they are going, over charged. Even the managers are useless, would not recommend. They don't even deserve one star
