• Charged me a credit card fee although it was banned by law over 2 years ago. So I went to buy a car and we agreed for £6300. When I wanted to pay the sales person told me I need to pay 1.5% charge because I'm paying by CC. That resulted in almost £100 extra and we considered to drop the deal. But the sales man offered us £50 surcharge so we ended up buying it after all. 2 days later, browsing the web, I ended up by mistake(or fortune) reading an article on BBC about credit card surcharge banned back in January 2018, so over 2 years ago. I was hoping(silly me!!) they would apologise for not being aware of the law changing and they will refund the fraudulent charge. Getting in touch with them, surprise surprise: " we know about tbe law, we have invoiced you for £6350 which is the price of the car and we have not charged you a CC fee". That says it all about their behaviour and how they treat their customers. I bet they start the day planing how to take advantage on the people visiting them that day. I wonder how many other customers were charged a fraudulent fee for the CC transactions between January 2018 and now.
