• Went for Saturday lunch, initial suspicions raised by the fact that the place was almost empty. Scruffy interior, apathetic landlord and poor food. The cheerful waitress was the only redeeming factor.

• Dissapointing. Went with my wife on valentines weekend 2012. The bar / restaurant needs a good make over. There are speaker cables hanging from the walls, and the paintwork needs updating. The barman that i'm guessing was the landlord at one point walk passed us shouting to his bar staff. The food was poor. I had a game pie with veg. The pie was ok, pastry a bit dry and the veg uninteresting, with hash browns.... I mean at least put some mash on the plate. If your a local, it seems to be a chearful place to drink, but as an outsider, I would not recommend this for eating.
