• After working a 12 hr Sunday shift my colleague and I visited the chip box. Our bill came to £14 odds (fish supper, king rib supper and some wee extras). Now remember this is supposed to be an award winning establishment with certificates and banners covering inside and out. We only had £7.00 odds between us, or a £100 note! This is where things went downhill. We handed the note over to the young boy on the till who just sat it back on the counter and said we don't take that! Right? What now? No explanation, nothing. We asked to speak to who was in charge (in a jokey manner), to see if he would take it. Exact same reaction. Sat it back down, and said the very same thing! But also that it uses all his change! Right what do we do now, you've just made all our order!? We were actually embarrassed that we COULD pay. He said abruptly go next door to the garage, to get change! Cheers. So I'm left waiting in the shop while my mate goes next door. No signs were displayed to let you know of this non acceptance! Mind you, there's no much room left with all the certificates that are showing. Now if he was so sure the garage would've given change, why did he not accept it and do that himself? I'm pretty sure he would've had plenty of change. Customer service was terrible, as for the award winning food, it was very very greasy, and pretty tasteless. Won't be back! Should've just walked out and left him with his poor tasteless food !
