• AVOID ,AVOID, AVOID !! AUGUST 2012 My husband and I have had the joy if dealing with these people for the last month or so. Never again. We had to go to City Citroen after we had the particulate pouch replaced by an CITROEN qualified mechanic and he could not get the warning fault code off the display. We went, they charged us £50 and did not remove it either. We were told. “ Give it a couple of days and it may come off “ In the meantime we had a phone call from the customer satisfaction dept and we told the story, Kelly booked it back in. By this time it had still not come off. So we went and sat in the main dealership waitin area with complimentary coffee watching daytime TV and reading the emails that were happy with the service that are in a beautiful folder on the coffee table. Two hours later we were told it could be another two hours as they still could not get it off. We live in Sandhurst, if we had been told it may take a while we would have taken two cars. So we declined their offer and had it booked in for two days later. They came to collect it and had it all day. We phoned and phoned to find out what was going on, eventually we were told by Phil that it was an ECU pump that was faulty. When I asked questions about it, Phil had to consult his colleague to answer them. He then told me that the work could be done in two or three days as they had to order the part. So we arranged to do this. THEN, 15 minutes later he called back to say the part was on back order and had to come from France. It would not be there until 4th August. We were slightly hacked off by now and asked to speak to his manager. Steve came on the phone and was rude and confrontational. He almost accused me of being a liar when I told him that Phil had told us we could drive the care safely and that it would not break down. He said “ Phil would not have said that “ I assure you, he did Steve. And why would a person ring a customer and book a job in without checking when the part would be there ???? So the 4th came and went and we phoned to find out what was going on. On the 10th the part arrived despite no courtesy call to inform us of developments in between times. The car went in yesterday (15th ). They had it all day and we rang to find out what was going on again. Eventually mid afternoon we got a call to ask if they could have it overnight as they were waiting on a response from the Citroen tech team. What else could we do ?This was costing us more and more money as the car is a taxi and my husband is self employed. The following day we rang at 10am to find out what was going on. The car was back on diagnostics, they had still not heard from the tech team. 1pm Phil rang, wanting to be paid and told us that the system needed an update, the problem had been solved. So did we even need a new ECU ???? I would have thought they would have checked for updates initially. Totally clueless. NEVER EVER again will we be dealing with City Citroen and neither will any of my colleagues that drive Citroen’s either. I shall be taking my car to the Aldershot branch. Much better service.
