• NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a car from this garage. I bought an audi A3 TDI with 50k on the clock They claimed to have serviced the car and changed the timing belt. Due to the poor fuel consuption and noise the car was making I took it to an Audi specialist in Glasgow. Firstly the timing was off...I was advised I was lucky that the engine was still running. Secondly the car had never been serviced. The filter were all filthy. The car continues to run badly and the garage offer no solution or resolution. Worst experience I've ever had. DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE.

• I have bought 3 cars from Cowgate Motors over the last 10 years and have had no problems with any of the cars, or the aftersales team who have always been most helpful. The golf i now have was in excellent condition when i collected it and the trade in price they gave was better than Arnold Clark !

• Purchased a 2009 car from this garage in May 2013. Car had a fault which despite taking back numerous times was brushed off by the staff. Car apparently had just also been serviced, but when taken to independent garage, was told no way that filter, oil etc was new. Serviced myself just to be sure. We only purchased from a garage for the peace of mind, which there has been none. Wouldnt recommend. Good point is that now fault resolved, car seems solid and was a decent price at the time.

• I bought a used VW Touran from Cowgate Motor Co in March 2012. Overall I found the people at Cowgate to be courteous and helpful; not once did I feel under any pressure to buy. I have just had the car serviced in Inverness and the garage stated that it was in good condition - I specifically asked for a condition report. So overall I would recommend Cowgate Motor Co.

• Stay clear of this garage. I had a very unsatisfactory after sales service from them. The car had lots of problems and not only were they very unhelpful. They just made up any old excuse and refused to take any resposibility for it despite the car still being under warranty. I am not the only person, I have seen several poor reviews for Cowgate Motors online now. Do yourself a favour and stay well clear would be my advice
