• This restaurant is no longer runeed by WI'll and Carole. It was taken over and renovated by the Sea good Pub Company about 2 to ensure yrs ago. Food modern specialises in seafood.

• My son and daughter arranged our Golden Wedding celebrations... afternoon tea for 40 at the Derby our favourite place! What a feast better than the Ritz so gentile! Met with Pimms and and then afternoon tea at its best!PERFECT Carole and Will were marvelous. Many many thanks.

• This is a wonderful, friendly place for a family gathering or just a meal for 2. Will and Carole are the friendliest and most helpful hosts you could hope for. Nothing is too much trouble and even if a particular dish isn't on the menu they will do their best to provide it for you. Our family visited on Friday, 17 May 2012 for my mum's 88th birthday and, as her appetite isn't very good at the moment, Carole asked what sort of things she enjoyed and made up a special platter of bite-sized pieces for her. My mum finished everything and was touched at the special attention to detail. It goes without saying that everyone's food, as always, was delicious. Nothing else could possibly have been done to make our evening out more enjoyable. Many thanks to Will and Carole. PS Anyone who is interested in how NOT to do it should visit the new Booths cafe at Fulwood - which we did today. Expensive, substandard food, poor service and cramped seating arrangements. And they couldn't even provide a toasted teacake for my father as it was after 11.30am!!! How difficult is it to put a teacake into a toaster? I'm going to email the head office and suggest they visit the Derby Arms to see what customer service is all about.
