• One of the last individual traditional places left, good food, well kept ale and friendly. Not a chain style place at all, thank goodness, Booking is best as this little place is run by the landlady and landlord only. We had a great experience, small,friendly,clean and a lovely garden as well.

• We have eaten at The Ferney many times, very friendly pub, very reasonable prices and the food is prepared and cooked fresh to order. This is a small country inn serving fresh food and good ale. Recommended. Tip may be a good idea to book.

• We visited this pub a couple of weeks ago as we had heard of the new management. But, what a shock. There was no ale ready - it had to be pulled through and when it was served it still had a haze. On tasting it was sharp, yeasty and too bitter - basically not ready yet. On asking about food we were told that there was none left because they had been rushed off their feet as 15 people had eaten there that night - he told us he had one lasagne left and asked "is that any good"? We thought he was joking but he wasn’t. At no point was there ANY hint of an apology or offer of a better service on another occasion. We promptly left and will not be returning as clearly they can’t even manage the most basic things. This was possibly the poorest experience we have ever encountered in a Herefordshire pub.
