• My wife & I visit a relative in Darlington 4 or 5 times a year and we always have Sunday Lunch at the Fox & Hounds. The service is excellent,the staff friendly smiling & helpful.The choice & quality of food is always very good. Over the years I have never had any cause to complain. The only complaint I would have, would on the odd occassion be the uncontrolled children causing mayhem

• I have eaten at the Fox and Hounds 3 times and every time I have received great service and beautiful food. Each time was in large groups and the staff couldn't do enough for us. If you want a lovely meal for a good price there is no place better in Durham.

• pate and butter for starters had obviously just come out of the fridge. we only had 2 triangles of toast to go with the pate. the rest was salad. during our meal NO ONE came to ask if it was alright. My husbands meat was cold. Never going again. Not a warm welcome at all.
