• We only used the services of a company as we were in a hurry to get the completed. We asked for a wider front door to accommodate a wheelchair user. We asked for a door without a letterbox, but he ordered a door with a letterbox that, in order to "fix" it he fitted a replacement skin which he fitted badly and left little gaps in, and the door he fitted was actually smaller than the original. At the same time we had booked Graeme Corbett to convert our bathroom into a wet room. After the door problem we expected him to redeem himself by being extra careful when converting our bathroom. How wrong we were! This resulted in a catalogue of disasters. The specialist flooring had to be relaid three times. The first attempt we thought was okay, but Corbett had forgotten to instal the thermostat for our underfloor heating resulting in the floor needing to be lifted. It then emerged that he had used the wrong underfloor preparation, which would have resulted in the floor loosening within a short time. The third floor was fitted by a company that he had to employ as he was unable to do the task himself. He used hired help to tile the walls, who unknown to us, his first DIY experience was to tile our walls, the rest being fitted by Corbett himself. The result is atrocious. No two tiles are aligned properly. His parting shot was to accidentally stick a screwdriver through the ceiling while trying to fit a light bulb, then came downstairs and took our money without telling us. He also started off working nine to five but soon began to turn up at seven in the evening after taking on another job at the same time. From start to finish this "tradesman"is undoubtedly the worst we have experienced, and worse than that, this man is a neighbour. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
