  • 2 star reviewIt is undeniable that the food in this pub is some of the best pub food I have come across, however, the portion sizes are hit-and-miss and the staff are nothing short of grumpy. I live locally and visit the pub regularly and I do not exaggerate when I say that I am yet to see any of the bar staff smile. We ate a meal there today, nobody came to check we were happy with our food, and when we asked on paying if we could be permitted to make a comment (about the inadequate portion sizes), the staff were totally disinterested. So yes, the food is nice (if very overpriced), but please don't expect a warm welcome.
