• Bought a cheapish car and had a minor problem. Became such a song and dance trying to sort it that i gave up and got it done myself. Other than that average at best

• Terrible terrible place, as soon as the car was purchased they didn't want to know. Now i am stuck with a bill for over £1200. You know it a bad place when even the positive reviewers have had problems

• Bought my car from Hertfordshire Car Centre in September, good choice of cars and they really helped as I had an issue with the car a couple of days after I bought it but they sorted it out quickly and gave me a courtesy car to use, genuine bunch of guys and very helpful, will definitely go there again.

• I too like many on here have had a terrible experience with this awful garage. The car we purchased has been nothing but hassle, extremely nasty attitudes from the staff I spoke to. So many poor reviews, Why do people still buy from this company?

• Brought 2007 Audi A6 estate for my wife from Grant. Great service during and after the sale, help sort out some new tyres at great price after 6 months as agreed. 15 months later no problems with the Audi and about to go back and upgrade my car.

• bought a car off these guys back in July. Had some concerns about the turbo being on the way out. Was assured that it was fine (didn't believe it). It had warranty anyway so wasn't too fussed. Checked the oil before I drove off as it was just changed. Guess what - black. Hmm it's either not been changed or the turbos dead. No sir it's fine... yeah whatever.. Left theirs for the long journey home. Booom, ploom of blue smoke from the back... turbo's had it. Had to get recovered by the AA back home, then their driver collected it the next day. They had it for a week and then had to make the journey back to collect!. Any way, 1 week later and there's an oil leak! Turns out the garage they used clearly don't have a clue what they are doing and damaged the oil feed to the turbo and their warranty won't cover it! I'll still give them 2 stars. Mainly because I managed to haggle a good discount on the car and their staff are freindly but clearly have no clue on cars, or how they are supposed to work!

• I brought my st from Hertfordshire car centre, great range of desirable cars it was a hard choice .like a sweet shop when you get in there all undercover what an excellent idea. Thanks Paul for all your patience , and to the rest of the boys.

• After recently buying a car from this dreadful garage which had major problems and we are now out of pocket. It seems that they don't care about helping you I think they must be selling dodgy cars and after reading the reviews I think it's about time they are reported to trading standards to many people are being conned hope other people agree

• Recently bought a car from this garage and very impressed with the whole experience from finding the car, the car itself and the aftercare. We will be replacing our 2nd car soon and will definitely use again and recommend to friends.

• I bought a Peugeot 207 from this garage, on the way home the exhaust dropped down, two days later the car had the engine malfunction warning light along with a message saying Anti-Pollution Fault and the car fan stayed on full power for 10 minutes when the car was off, even if it hadn't been driven. The owner would not refund the car, even though it was in a un-drivable condition.

• Absolutely unbelievable, rubbish customer service, sold me a car which had major engine problems, after which all of the staff denied being present on sale and claimed the person dealing with the claim is on holiday, off work or not in. Disgraceful after sales customer service. Bottom line, i would avoid totally unless you are prepared to waste money.

• Dreadful place as having 3 cars since January 2013 and still only march. We should of walked away after the 1st one blew up. Such unprofessional people if you ring up they won't call you back so frustrating. Thanks to this awful place we are now out of pocket so stay clear there are other garages to get decent cars from.

• Not a place I would deal with again. Bought a second hand Mazda from these guys . At the time of the sale it was missing the remote central locking fob. I was assured this would be resolved, however, 3 months after the purchase, 8 phones calls and 5 emails later, I am still without the key fob, and being told it is not important. A word of warning to anyone looking into this company, be very aware of this lack of aftersales service - there are plenty of other garages out there that understand customer service

• I have never dealt with such an unprofessional car garage. I put a deposit down on a car after being told there was a lot of interest for it. I didn't hear from them for 4 days. I had to phone them to find out when I could collect the car only to be told it had been sold the day after I put the deposit down! They said they would find me another car within 48 hours. I didn't hear from them and again, I had to phone them to now demand my deposit back. This took them 2 weeks to return by bank transfer! I was constantly given excuses and lies, not to mention being patronised. I would never recommend anyone to use this company unless you want your time wasted and want to be made to feel an inconvenience to them.

• Absolutely awful! Would strongly advise people against this place. Problems from the start and awful attitudes from the staff. Still waiting for money owed to us from over 6 weeks ago!

• I would just like to say a special thank you to Hertfordshire Car Centre who sold my car for me whilst I was out of the country. They dealt with everything on my behalf! Their service was very professional & quick which meant I did not have to worry about anything. As soon as the car had sold the payment was sent within a few days so I could enjoy my time away. I would definately recommend Herts Cars for their professional & friendly customer service, I will definately be using them again & will tell all my friends to use them too! Thanks guys :)
