  • 1 star reviewI come for sunday dinner a couple of weeks ago, the food was average and the service was very good. On the otherhand the manageress was very rude to the waitress and bar staff, we could hear everything that was said and i think this is very unprofessional. I will not be returning and will not be reccomending.

  • 2 star reviewWe went to this pub today for lunch, arriving at 12.05pm. After parking the car we found the doors were locked. We can take a hint, so we went a few miles up the road and found a pub that was open. We received a good welcome and a wholesome meal. If you plan to have lunch at the Horse and Jockey it may be as well to give them a ring in advance

  • 5 star reviewBeautiful dining experience in a small but very relaxing restaurant area with high wooden beams low light setting the mood perfectly for couples or groups. I'm vegetarian & choose the mushroom stroganoff for my main. Exquisite. Other vegetarian choices on the menu inc fish dishes & for those wanting a steak or meat dish there is a good choice. I would highly recomend for those wanting something a bit more special than pub grub, although there are traditional choices on the menu. Presentation was fantastic with good portion sizes. The main bar is relaxing very warm & welcoming with a log burning fire place. Lovely friendly hosts. Will certainly visit again soon to try the Sunday lunch menu. certainly a tell your friends place .
