• I have been here twice with my partner for meals. The first time was for sunday lunch, it was lovely food only thing I didn't like was the fact the cauliflower was quite hard and not cooked soft enough. The second time we went we both had gammon with chips and salad, this was cooked really well, also the deserts are to die for! lovely pub itself, always peaceful and quiet with a nice atmosphere, Always go back there again :)

• Last night I had a 16oz T bone (rare) and it was absolutely superb. Cooked to perfection. I was advised there may be a small delay because of a large group that was being catered for. The delay was about 10 mins, which is what I would expect normally anyway. I also very much enjoyed a pint of Adnams Broadside which is a guest ale I hadn't had before and very enjoyable. I did ask the landlady if she had a garage where I could park my bike up so I could slurp it all night. Enjoyable surroundings, tentative landlady, great steak, good ale, my kind of pub.Will definately return.

• Unable to have jacket potato with tuna even though menu said it was available until 9pm it was 5.30pm. Ended up with chicken salad, chicken dry and the salad, just lettice, cucmber, tomato and onion. Friend had veggie lasgne which was ok she had a choice of chips, new potato or guess what jacket potato! would not recommend eating at this pub to friends or work colleagues

• Had a sunday lunch there, was over charged by £12, lucky i noticed, not even an apology, table next to us also over charged by over £10, food was nice.

• Had the chicken madras last time. Best pub curry i have ever had. Just on the limit of my taste, but very good. Had the chicken balti this time. This is without doubt the best pub balti i have ever had. Can't wait until next time. They have vindaloo on the specials board. Not brave enough for that but try the balti!!!!!
