• I recently ate at the Inn On The Green with my wife and some friends who are local to the area. It was a Thursday night and we hadn't thought to book - we walked into a busy bar area and we were greeted by two smiling faces. The bar man pointed out a free table and took our drinks order. After looking through the delicious menu and specials board we all decided to have something a bit different and all ordered from the specials boards. I had a beautifully cooked monkfish whilst my wife and friends went for pork and a vegetarian dish. The food came in a reasonable time considering how busy they appeared to be with just 2 staff on. The food came on hot plates and with a smile from the waitress, there was plenty of food on the table and the extra portions of chips we ordered we're simply not needed (although very delicious), we wolfed the food down and welcomed the dessert menu. I ordered the icecream which was one of the best homemade icecreams I've had this side of the med, my friends tucked into carrot cake and a saucy chocolate pudding which we had been told had been a favourite among recent customers and WOW could I see why, when the chocolate pudding came it was oozing chocolate sauce and smelt simply divine and was completely worth the extra few minutes it states are needed to make this pudding on the menu. I greedily scooped my spoon into my friends dessert and was delighted when the taste matched the divin aroma. All in all we had a great night, the food and atmosphere was fantastic with some 1960's music playing in the background we we're all humming along. We will be back, food and service was wondeful.
