• 1/2/13 we found ourselves babysitting in Verwood. So, decided to get some fish and chips 7.30pm Friday. I ordered 2 fishcakes, 1 small chips, for me and large cod and large chips for my husband both with mushy peas. I waited ages for my order - no apology or reassurance that my order had not been forgotten. Turns out it was because I had ordered fishcakes. If the server had told me this at the time of order I would have ordered something quicker. I finally got the food back to discover the reason it was more expensive than expected was because I had been given 4 portions of chips, two containing one fishcake each! This was bad enough but the massive amount of chips were overcooked and dry and the fishcakes were only just cooked, so cold in the middle. Total indigestion and a waste of time and money £14.05. My advice double check your order before you pay. My local is much much better than this.
